1st Cavalry Division
Combat Aviation Brigade
The 1st Cav Division CAB is modeled after our real-world counterparts and organized into three (3) battalions with three (3) companies each. Each battalion specializes in a particular role of army aviation.
1st Battalion, 227th Aviation Brigade (1-227 AVN) will operate the (Eagle Dynamics) AH-64D "Apache" in the primary role of enemy armor suppression and close air support.
2nd Battalion, 227th Aviation Brigade (2-227 AVN) operates the (Belsimtek) UH-1D "Huey" in the primary role of utlity, troop transport, and light gunship support. Charlie Company will focus on MEDEVAC (Dustoff) Operations.
7th Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment (7/17 CAV) will operate the (PolyChop Simulations) OH-58D "Kiowa Warrior" in the primary roles of light attack and specialized reconnaissance.
